The Manhattan Catholic Schools are fully accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The academic curriculum in K-8 emphasizes religion, reading, English, spelling, writing, mathematics, social studies, science, health, computer instruction, art, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education.
The State of
Kansas mandates that a child entering kindergarten must be five years of age by August 31st of the current school year. The State of Kansas also mandates that a child entering first grade must be six years of age by August 31st of
the current school year. The Principal has the authority to admit or deny students to MCS. Each new student admitted is subject to a 3-month probationary period.
MCS is committed to helping the student with special
needs. Students in K-8 can receive special education through USD 383. Counselors, psychologists, social workers and speech therapists are available.
