NAMING OPPORTUNITIES

Thank  you for partnering with Manhattan Catholic Schools to continue its proud  tradition of providing an outstanding academic and spiritual experience for our  children.  Through your gift, you are making Manhattan Catholic Schools more competitive and better equipped to meet future challenges in the ever-changing educational environment.  Manhattan Catholic Schools students and teachers will  perpetually benefit from your investment. 

To honor your investment in the school, we have several naming opportunities for  you consider.  Below is a description of options for you to choose from:

Naming Recognition
A  plaque will be placed in a prominent location at the entrance of the various  physical locations listed below. The plaque will bear the donor's name (and company logo if desired), honoring the donor's commitment to the school.  It will give appropriate visibility to the donor and will be a constant reminder of  the importance of our partners who play such an important role in the school's ability to provide a high quality academic and spiritual experience for our  children.



Luckey Junior High Gymnasium
The  Luckey Junior High Gymnasium is a multi-purpose room that is important to the quality of student life at Manhattan Catholic Schools.  Each day, the gymnasium  provides space for 6-8th grade student to participate in physical  education programs.  The gym is also home for all Junior High athletics events.

Fine Arts Wing
The  Fine Arts Wing was added to MCS in 1990 after a fire destroyed the former fine arts facilities.  This wing leads to the music room, art room, and library. The  fine arts facilities are utilized by all MCS students.  Parents frequently also  use this area of the school to meet and work together on projects.

Grade  School Main Wing
The  Grade School Main Wing begins at the main entrance of the elementary school building and leads to the 2nd-5th grade classrooms as well as the SBC Computer Lab.

Grade  School West Wing
The  Grade School West Wing begins at the main entrance of the elementary school building and leads to the Kindergarten 1st grade classrooms.  This wing was  the original building.  It was the very first phase of many building projects that have led to the current MCS facility we know today.

Junior High Wing
The  Junior High Wing is located on the second floor of the Luckey Junior High building and leads to seven classrooms that provide instructional space for  6th-8th grade students.  You'll know you're in the MCS Junior High Wing when you walk into the space and are greeted with a mural of a huge, beautiful, bright red Cardinal.  Go MCS Cardinals!

School Administration Office
The  School Administration Office includes the offices of the Principal, Development Director, and Office Manager as well as the Teacher Workroom.  All visitors to MCS must report to the School Administration Office upon entering the building and it is a VERY busy place!  Staff, faculty, students, and parents are  frequently in the office space as it is the "hub" of the school.

K-5th  Grade Classrooms
The  K-5th Grade Classroom provide a "home" for our students and teachers  for most of the school day.  Each room is combination of carpeted and tiled space, air conditioned, and equipped with a closed circuit television system.   In addition, each teacher has their own telephone number with voicemail, which  is very helpful in keeping teachers and parents "in touch".

6-8th  Grade Classrooms
The  6th-8th Grade Classrooms in the Luckey Junior High building provide a "revolving home" for our students for the school day.  This is a turning point for 6th-8thgrade students as they begin to rotate between classrooms for the various subjects in their curriculum.  Science, Social Studies, English, Foreign Language, Computer Lab, Health, Math and Algebra classrooms are located  on the second floor of the Luckey Junior High building.

Music Room
The  Music Room provides a space for music instruction for all K-5th grade students.  In addition, more than 97% of all junior high students participate
in band, outstanding!

Art Room
The  Art Room provides arts and crafts space for all MCS students.  Who knows  we may have the next "Van Gogh" in our midst!  Manhattan Catholic Schools offers an extensive art curriculum including pottery (we have our own kiln), 2D/3D art, watercolor and oil painting, and crafts of many kinds.

Library
The  MCS Library has a wonderful selection of books for children of all ages to  enjoy.  The Library also is very automated with bar code scanning checkout and computerized reference capabilities.  Traffic in and out of the Library each school day is very heavy  lots of smiling students carrying lots of books!

Personalized Walkway Bricks
Personalized Walkway Bricks are available to be installed in the new walkway leading into the main entrance of Manhattan Catholic Schools' elementary building.  A Walkway  Brick may be inscribed with the name (first/last) of the donor's choice and will be a lasting reminder of the many friends and supporters that MCS is so lucky to have.
