Below  are several examples of ways you can give a gift to Manhattan Catholic Schools.   The Director of Development, is available to discuss with you and your  advisors how you may best support Manhattan Catholic Schools, regardless of the  size or nature of your gift.

You  can reach the Development Director by calling (785) 565-5060.

Gifts of Cash
The  simplest and most common way to give.  Checks should be made payable to Manhattan Catholic Schools.  Your cash gift may be directed to the Annual Giving program or designated for the Monsignor Luckey Endowment Fund.

Gifts of Real Estate
The outright gift of a parcel of appreciated land or other real estate is a method that may offer considerable tax saving opportunities for donors.  To ensure that you are able to maximize your tax savings opportunities, it is highly  recommended that you consult with your financial advisor in advance of the gift.

Gifts of Securities
Gifts of long-term appreciated stocks or bonds entitle a contributor to two income tax benefits: 1) the avoidance of capital gains, and 2) the contributor may use the securities' fair market value on the date of the gift for the income tax charitable deduction.

Gifts  of stocks, bonds and mutual funds are encouraged as these types of gifts often  present special tax saving opportunities for donors. To ensure that you are able to maximize your tax savings opportunities, it is highly recommended that you consult with your financial advisor in advance of the gift.

Gifts  of Life Insurance
When properly arranged, life insurance offers an attractive way to benefit MCS. Persons wishing to support Manhattan Catholic Schools through a gift of life insurance will find numerous advantages.

Bequests
Leave  your legacy by making a gift in your will to friends, family and charities. A bequest is one of the simplest ways to remember those you care about most.  All  bequests should be made to the MCS Monsignor Luckey Endowment Fund.  In this way, MCS will be able to consider these expectancies in its long range planning  for gift support.

Testamentary Charitable Remainder Gift
A  charitable bequest can also be arranged to provide income for a selected  beneficiary (i.e., nephew, niece, friend) by directing that the bequest be used to establish a charitable remainder annuity trust, a unitrust or a charitable gift annuity. The named beneficiary could receive income from the trust for  life, or for a specified number of years. When the trust is terminated, the principal will pass to the MCS Monsignor Luckey Endowment Fund. In addition to  the personal satisfaction of making a philanthropic gift, the estate will receive a charitable tax deduction, reducing the estate settlement costs.

Please contact the Director of Development, at (785) 565-5060 to discuss your gift and any special arrangments you wish to make.

Thank  you for considering a gift to Manhattan Catholic Schools!
