Do you think the playground equipment at MCS is adequate for our school’s needs?

Yes              18%  (7)
No               64% (25)
Maybe          3%  (1)
Don’t know 10%  (4)
No answer   5%  (2)

                   100% (39)

If your answer is “no,” please explain how you would like to see the playground equipment improved. (Many respondents gave more than one suggestion)

More or better equipment (swing/slide/climbing equipment)    65% (20)
Improved space for sports at recess                                      19%  (6)
More sports equipment needed                                             13%  (4)
Improved safety                                                                    3%   (1)
                                                                                             100% (31)

Do you think playground equipment enhancement/replacement should be a priority for PTO?

Yes              41% (16)
No               18%  (7)
Maybe          15%  (6)
Don’t know   5%  (2)
No answer    21%  (8)
                     100% (39)

The number of respondents in favor of playground enhancement is not as overwhelming as I would have guessed, but it is a significant majority.  Nearly two-thirds think playground equipment is not adequate, and over 50% think either “yes” or “maybe” playground enhancement should be a PTO priority.  Of course, many parents have children too old to use the playground, and their responses will reflect that.
